I offer support for a variety of common issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. However, my expertise extends to areas such as addiction recovery, providing assistance to individuals and families impacted by addiction, and offering guidance to those in caregiving roles. Whether you're struggling with anxiety and depression or facing the challenges of addiction within your family, I'm here to help you navigate these issues and find a path towards healing and positive change.
Before we embark on our counselling journey, I offer a free telephone or video assessment—a 15-minute conversation to ensure that we are a good fit to work together. It's a chance for you to ask questions, express your concerns, and see if you feel comfortable with me as your counsellor. Our first formal session, which will include a 30-40 minute assessment, allows us to dive deeper into your needs and start the counselling process. Importantly, the price remains the same for this initial session.
In our counselling sessions, I follow a person-centred approach. What does that mean for you? It means that our sessions are all about you, your thoughts, your feelings, and your needs. I provide a safe and empathetic space where you can express yourself without judgment. My goal is to foster a trusting relationship between us, which we will use as a powerful tool to address the core issues that matter to you. I am solution-focused, meaning that while we aim to make positive changes, our focus remains on our therapeutic relationship and how we can use it to get to the heart of the matter. Although I work predominantly online, I am open to working together in person also.
Online counselling offers a range of benefits that can make seeking support more accessible and convenient for you. No matter where you are in the UK, you can connect with me online. You have the flexibility to choose a comfortable and confidential space for our sessions, saving you time and eliminating the need to worry about parking or transport issues. You can fit counselling into your busy schedule, making it more manageable and convenient for your lifestyle.
For some individuals, telephone counselling offers a convenient and less intense way to access support. You can engage in counselling from anywhere, making it highly accessible. It's a particularly suitable option for those who prefer the anonymity of the phone and feel more comfortable discussing their concerns in this manner. Telephone counselling allows for a level of flexibility that can be beneficial for your unique circumstances. Whether online or on the phone, I am committed to providing you with the support you need on your path to well-being.
